Your decision should not be made by simply comparing the financial illustrations of different umbrella companies. Look carefully at what is being offered. Fees are not always transparent and unrealistic assumptions can be used to manipulate figures and make your take home pay seem higher than what you will actually end up with in your pocket.
As a contractor, you should base your decision on both the fees you are being asked to pay and what you will get for those fees. Help is at hand from Brookson. We know it’s a minefield out there, especially if you are new to contracting. We will compare our illustrations to those of other umbrella companies, so you can quite clearly see what we will ask you to pay and what you can expect to receive in return.
