IT jobs market to benefit from increased confidence

It contractors are benefitting from increased levels of confidence in the computer technology sector, according to one industry body.
The recently reported high demand for IT workers, can be attributed to confidence in the "long-term stability" of the economy, said the IT Job Board.
Jamie Bowler, the organisation's head of marketing, said as more projects are given the go-ahead, demand for staff will increase.
The comments follow the publication of the latest Report on Jobs from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), which revealed that demand for IT staff has grown at its highest rate since July 2007.
"Today, IT is at the core function of all business and as a result we are seeing increased demand from consultancies," said Mr Bowler.
"This in itself suggests that more projects are being signed off as businesses grow in confidence."
The expert added that workers with skills in smartphone and Android development look set to benefit from an "extremely buoyant area".
