Media contractors urged to press for quality
09 March 2010Posted by James Curtis
Media contractors and freelance journalists have been urged to focus on quality as the industry converges.
Writing for Web Worker Daily, Doriano Carta said that quality should remain the "most important aspect of any blog, newspaper or magazine".
Commenting on the future of blogging and the introduction of new technology, Ms Carta said: "The new generation of mobile devices such as the iPad and other tablet computers will become ubiquitous and will help us deliver our message in exciting new ways.
"We should not lament this changing of the guard; instead we should embrace it and adapt to it, and take our blogging to new heights."
The journalist explained that in order for media professionals to have their work "consumed or digested" by readers, content should be of a high quality and delivered using the "best packaging available".
Ms Carta also explained that blogging is fast becoming an accepted format for quality journalism and pointed to increasing subscription numbers as evidence of the trend.
