Contractors working through a limited company in the UK are set to benefit from new online advice issued by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
The department is preparing to host a series of webinars aimed at helping self-employed workers and small business owners understand the country's tax system.
Each presentation will last for around half an hour, with live webinars being aired on specific dates and pre-recorded webinars available at all times on HMRC's website.
The live presentations will all be followed by a 30-minute question and answer session.
Colin Ford, head of the project, explained: "The webinars allow businesses and the self-employed to participate in the live seminars and ask questions. If the dates or times don't suit, pre-recorded webinars will be accessible at any time of day or night.
"It's inevitable that some people find tax issues daunting, especially if they are setting out in business. The webinars are one of the many ways that HMRC aims to make tax as hassle free as possible."
Among the topics covered by the webinars will be business expenses, capital allowances, online self-assessments, a VAT guide and an overview of limited companies.
