The push towards 4G technology could lead to a boom period for IT contractors

13 July 2012

The push towards 4G technology could lead to a boom period for IT contractors.

The latest research from Coleman Parkes on behalf of Everything Everywhere, found that a massive 93 per cent of companies are looking to use 4G as part of their communications processes in the near future.

Currently, 4G is yet to be launched in the UK but already firms are gearing themselves up and this could well give IT workers with experience in communications a chance to gain some new contracts.

Everything Everywhere’s vice president of B2B, Martin Stiven, said: “In today’s global economy, UK businesses need 4G networks to help them be more productive and compete on the international stage.

"Half of the countries on the G20 list of the world’s biggest economies already have 4G, leaving British businesses at risk of falling behind rivals.”

Out of those questioned, 86 per cent said that they believed having a 4G network will increase the productivity and profits of their business.
