Brookson are delighted to support National Apprenticeship Week along with our several apprentices across the business. Our programme of Apprentice recruitment has given opportunities to a number of young people to earn whilst they learn and we are proud that the vast majority of Apprentices that we have taken on have been successful in gaining permanent employment with the business. Once in permanent roles, many of our Apprentices have continued to study to progress their careers and enhance their skills and this has been greatly encouraged, supported and sponsored by the business. We see the Apprentice scheme as a key way to engage with people in the community and to enhance our business skills and knowledge.
We have worked closely with our provider of choice, Warrington Collegiate, to recruit some great people in to the business. This has been underpinned by the great relationships we have built, particularly, with our Accounting Assessor, Stephen Jones who has worked hard to ensure that our students have the best quality learning experience at the college in order to support their development in work and to ensure that the college, the business and the Apprentices are constantly communicated with.
Rachel Stevenson, Brookson’s HR Manager commented “We have successfully recruited Apprentices throughout the last few years and recognise the fantastic benefit that they bring to Brookson and the opportunity that we can provide for them in terms of longer term career development and progression”.
Making Brookson a great place to work and providing a great culture and environment to drive learning and development is a primary focus for the business and continuing to develop our Apprenticeship programme in the future will be key to bringing through new talent in order to support business growth.
