Warrington-based accountancy firm, Brookson, has received Affiliate Accredited Accountant status from the Professional Contractors Group (PCG), the not-for-profit professional body representing contractors, freelancers and self-employed professionals.
The PCG has 20,000 members and last year received praise from the Prime Minister for its work representing the self-employed community. Brookson had to undertake strict training on freelance legislation and customer service, and pass an independent annual assessment* in order to gain the accreditation.
Brookson’s managing director, Martin Hesketh, said: “We represent more than 9,000 contractors, freelancers and self-employed professionals so being affiliated with the PCG reassures our customers that we’re providing the most innovative and proactive service we can. This will undoubtedly help us continue to offer the very best support for our customers in 2012 as we continue to passionately promote their importance to the UK economy.”
Brookson also recently launched a new element to its service, Brookson Connect, which provides customers with up-to-date information on their business which Martin believes the PCG has recognised with this accreditation.
